Don't get me wrong, I hate Ronaldo like the rest of us but he's a top player, even if his performances have declined to the point of making him essentially a target man. He'd be a huge signing for the rags and I hope it doesn't happen.
That said, City are simply miles ahead to begin with. When we played them last year, I swear, I had never seen a more cowardly or abstractly poor looking rags side. Therein lies the key, Pogba is just off the back of the worst season of his professional career by a stretch but you could argue that he simply isn't suited for PEG's parked bus. I'd say the same applies to Ronaldo, who doesn't put in a defensive shift and isn't suited to counter-attacking football at Madrid. Whether that would hold true in reality remains to be seen, and let's hope we never do, but I see no reason to feel threatened by what the rags offer at all, especially if we hit all our targets this summer.
