Ronnie James Dio

I could not beleive this when I heard it on Rock Radio, driving into work this morning. Steve Berry sounded choked and I almost filled up when they put Holy Diver on. One of my two favourite Rock singers of all time has gone, I am going to have an evening of Ronnie James and my other favourite David Coverdale. RIP Ronnie.

very sad news, and would say ronnie and coverdale probably the two best voices in rock music imo, planet rock now playing ronnie's music for the next hour....

Just listening to Planet Rock now.
This is really sad news - i knew he was ill but i am surprised, if only cos Classic rock magazine have kept advertising Heaven and hell as playing festivals this summer.

Heaven and Hell on Live Evil is a brilliant performance, nearly as good as his best ever for me, Stargazer by Rainbow.

First time i saw him at Monsters of rock Donnington 1987 i think, with metallica bon jovi and anthrax i think.

A sad loss.
