I said about this incident in another thread.Glad it wasnt only me that picked upon this.It dosnt set a good example to the youngsters playing on junior football.The FA want a respect code & all that. I suggest that they have a look at a few of the so called England media darlings. As for the numerious Refs he mouths off to.Its a booking all day long as a minimum. Do they have no self respect, they control the game,yet they allow someone under their control/rule, to act in that manner without so much of a word.Absolute Joke

If Rooney wasn't English he would be treated differently IMO. I think he would receive as many red cards as our man Balo

Got to agree, although they were all at it. Franco Barassi Ducan Edwards-Jones, Evra pulling people back cause his pace has deserted him, giggs in a similar vien. Ferdinand wasting time with that free kick. What are the refs scared off??

Was he ever more than 3 yards from the ref last night.
Just shows the preferential treatment Utd players get when Rooney has not even been booked this year. Remember his lunge v QPR a few weeks ago, how was that not a yellow?
Scholes last night- Tugged back Toure when he burst through- no yellow

Utd players can get in refs faces, swear at them without action. Toure bounced the ball= yellow card.

Why dont refs just book Utd players for dissent and be done with it. Even neville commented on how Rooney was in the refs ear all game long. Even when Rooney misplaced a pass which went for a throw in, he turned round and moaned to the ref.

And the play acting- Kompany yellow was pathetic. Rooney fouled him. De Jong yellow was harsh, simply a clash between 2 players running to the ball, very minimal contact but our player just got up, thiers rolled around in agony= yellow card.

Scoles catching Barry (i think) on the side of his head last night with an elbow. Evra elbowing Richards in the FA cup game. Both times City didnt make a fuss. Richards carried on in fact. Fight fire with fire, roll around in agony against them lot, let the ref think about that

Being fair I thought it was nice of gold old 'wazza' to leave his nited kit at home last night and wear his refereeing outfit instead!!!

The bloke is a gobshite and it absolutely defies belief how he's not had a single yellow card in the league this season. Saying that he managed to completely talk himself out of the game last night which was nice of him even though we didnt need his help!

he's been doing that pretty well every game this season. but as he'll tell you himself, he hasn't had a single yellow card this season. (although he did get a red card for a vicous and unprovoked kick on an opponent while playing for england. pity the thick scouse twat didn't realise that, unlike in this country, foreign refs won't indulge him).

It takes Rooney more fouls than anyone else in the league to get a yellow card. That's not just a general statement or speculation, that's the actual statistic.
