just watching ssn now,looking and listerning to bobby,he has got no intention in signing Rooney!
Rooney will leave in January,surely,i mean he aint gonna stay there and get shit every week is he?
Plus,UTD aint gonna get fuck all if they wait to sell him in the summer are they!?
I want City to sign him and thought we was after reading and watching,but after Bobby earlyer,im not so sure now.

Mourinho, Ancelotti and Mancini have all said they think he is a very good player but he'll stay at United. So if Mancini's comments rule us out, surely Mourinho's and Ancelotti's rule Real and Chelsea out? So, where's he going to go? Barca can't really afford him. They had to take a loan out to pay the players in the summer. They're not going to add 150-200k p/w to the wage bill. Not when they have eyes for Fabregas is the summer.

So that leaves erm....us, Chelsea and Real. No team is going to admit to speaking to him without United's position. Rooney isn't going to release a statement about wanting to leave without having something else lined up. So that means, that one of Ancelotti, Mancini and Mourinho are lying.

Not seen Bobby's conference yet but didn't he say that he hadn't had contact with Rooney?

Just answered my own question by viewing some video. Bobby did say there had been no contact as well as adding he had not seen him. I don't think Bobby looked like a man who was doing anything other than trying to say no comment and I would not read anything into his comments one way or the other. As some else said, it won't be bobby that's handling the deal if it exists anyway.

As if anyone is going to admit their interested in signing Rooney publicly, Bobby Manc and the City Board played their cards close to their chests in the summer so why play this any differently.

It is common knowledge that Shrek told Slur Alex he wasn't going to sign a new contract months ago so negotiations will have been opened with perspective buyers since then.

My guess is that Rooney and his agent already know where he is going and when.

Be patient all will be revealed in time.

It depends on how broken his relationship is with his colleagues at United. If it's not so bad, he could stay until the summer, but what would the point be from United's point of view? If his heart isn't in it, he'd be a shadow of the player he was last season...much like he is now. If you take away Rooney's mental strengths and desire and hunger, you're left with pretty much what he is now, which isn't really useful for United.

So for me, it would be the interest of all parties if this deal was done in January. It would especially be in our interest to get in there as soon as possible, if we haven't already.

I think if Rooney carries on like he is, but stays until the summer, it will take him several months to find his feet again. I think interested clubs know this so bids will be officialy made in January imo, and i think we're in the driving seat. In fact, as mentioned by someone earlier, we're on an entirely different grid imo.

As people have already said, Rooney and his advisers will know what the next step is going to be (I'm guessing that united have been trying to get him to change his mind since August, but finally realised that isn't going to happen so they went public) Whether Rooney moves in January or the summer or (unlikely) not at all, they will all know where he is going.

Whether Rooney comes to City or not is almost a side issue, he wants out of united, Fergie has had to do the type of press conference no one has ever seen before and their fans are fuming. It's brilliant.

During a little peroid of Forum " Slow time" yesterday when every click and turn of the thread page seemed to last forever I wandered over to Rag Cafe.

On there a Rag Cafe " First Team Player" called Raees (7114 posts) came out with these gems:
