Yes and no

Yes because he would improve us big time,I don't go for this rag tw@t stuff. If he put our shirt on and gave 100% every game I'd be more than happy.

Nothing (well a little) to do with him being a Rag, it's the fact that he's an odious, cheating(job + wife) cretinous, Shrek faced SOB.

But thankfully I believe are owners have more sense and class than to sign him!

I've had an argument with a couple of Rag mates about not wanting him and they can't get their heads around it, much the same as I wouldn't want the Pisscan as our manager, I like success but not wining at any cost!...

already in decline doesn't look after himself, we would be lucky to get two decent seasons from him, it'd help utd yet again shift a player on at the right time.
So no

This. Rooney has just gotten worse and worse. Smokes, drinks, always looks unfit... fuck no, don't want him.
OMG drinks smoke shags women... whats the World turning to... ffs if he bangs in the goals that win us the League or CL ... all the team will be drinking smoking and shagging ffs.

Re: Rooney

I'm no Rooney fan, not by a long way but some of these comments are ridiculos.

He scored 20 goals last season, 2 at City's ground! He may not have turned into the player people thought he would back in 04 but he's still good and I'd say any team that buys him, say for 20mil and on reasonable wages would get their monies worth.

I was with a few Utd fans on Saturday and they aren't sure what to do with him. One was happy to sell to Arsenal as they don't see them as challengers and the other would happily sell him abroad IF Utd got a good replacement ie Lewondoski

I'm not sure if I'd want him, due to him being a ****, but we would have less lacklustre performances than last season with him upfront and he isn't scared to shoot

He's no world beater but would do a good job for a couple of years

Re: Rooney

Signing Rooney wouldnt bother me if he wasnt already part way into a pretty steep decline.

So a no for me.

Re: Rooney

Would take him as he is class. He played well last season but didn't get any limelight because of RVP. We would get 3/4 good seasons out of him and for £25m you couldn't get a better premiership player in my opinion. 50/1 at skybet to sign for us...

Re: Rooney

All day for me, fresh start and all that, only just out of form and could easily be quality in our side.

Re: Rooney

No thanks. Unless Pelle wants us to to adopt man marking tactics. On the ref.

Plus, when England spectacularly fail in Brazil next year (sorry, but in that heat it's inevitable), you can just making the headlines about City's' Greedy Striker etc etc...

nah, as soon as Rooney signed for city, Welbeck would become england's main striker.

I would be gutted if city buy him - this would significantly help the scum out in the long term. They would get top dollar for a player in decline.

I think whoever buys him will get a reinvigorated Rooney playing out of his skin for the first few months and he will look worth every penny of his exorbitant fee. However, I think we'll see a rapid decline after that. Petulance will reach all time highs as he doesn't get any of the little decisions that he is used to being gifted by referees and Ireckon he will end up in the MLS within 2 years.
