Is it me or is the appointment of Moyes already looking troubled? The only players they seem in with a chance of actually getting are Baines and Felliani, both of whom Moyes has had before, all the other names they have been linked with have, or appear to be heading to other clubs. The statement says: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm that yesterday it made a written offer to Manchester United for the transfer of Wayne Rooney.

Probably. They clearly want him out but won't want to pay the loyalty bonuses that no doubt he will be due if he hasn't requested to go. I also don't believe rooney put in a request in spring, ferguson made it up to get the whole ball rolling and to make rooney's position at the club untenable. I don't know what I think about it all really. united are behaving like cunts but then rooney is a **** who deserves it. Hopefully it will end unhappily for all concerned.
