Rooney transfer speculation in here please

Whilst I don't believe they're as skint as people on here are making out, this is all getting very funny.

The best thing has been Moyes comments about Rooney, a clear plan to get him to want to leave.

I guess they will sell Rooney for around £20m and buy Fellaini and Baines for a combined £30m. Then they will buy another three players for £1m-10m, sell another one or two and that will be them.

They are going backwards

A guy on TS this morning made a good point that United will keep hold of Rooney until the end of transfer window and after they play Chelsea. Why would they sell a player who now despises the club to a rival who could come back and bang in some serious damage in that game.

The longer this pantomime continues and keeps both Utd and Chelsea unsettles the better for us

So that they have a time to sign a replacement while they might still be available?

but if they already know the deal is going to happen, they will just buy first anyway and sell Rooney on the last day

But that assumes Chelsea won't move on to another target like Ibra or Suarez if kept waiting by United.

I don't think we're unsettled at all. Look at the Modric situation before. We put in a few bids, turned the screw, Levy wouldn't cave and we ended up with Mata. No skin off our nose.

The longer this goes on with them taking pot shots at each other the better. It will over shadow their pre seasons. Also will leave the rags less time to replace him as they will want him gone first. Meanwhile the Cavanis, Falcaos and Negrados of the world will have found new homes.

Could they go with RVP, Welbeck and little pea?

You say that as if chelsea would just be happy to allow it to happen...
