Next season will prove whether it was a good signing or not.
I've never seen Ricster get stick before, and i think, as explained earlier, to which he agreed with, i had reasons to sound his views out as similar as to those without looking at all the sides, i.e an agenda.
Infact you've agreed with it yourself to an extent. How can be dismiss a player so conclusively when he's not even signed for us yet? He's shown he can score 18 goals in a season with a team like B'burn, he may well have dragged his injury out at Bburn to engineer a move away.
Theres a difference between "expressing views" and some of Ricster's posts in this thread imo.

Personally I think he'll be ok.
Roque has a 'wash out'
Posted on: Wed 15 Apr 2009
Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz has undergone an arthroscopy on his right knee to clear up the injury which has sidelined him in recent weeks.
The arthroscopy, carried out in Germany, showed a minor degree of wear and tear which required a wash out but no active surgical procedure.
Roque, who will now have a period of re-hab from the arthroscopy, is also nursing a calf injury
Manager Sam Allardyce said: "The news is positive and we will see how the knee responds, but the long-term prognosis is excellent."
Well he would say that wouldn't he????!?! He knew he would be selling him come end of the season. Only a complete numpty would say "it's a major worry - he could need he leg amputating"!

If we were still owned by Thakshin the signing of RSC would be welcomed with open arms, people would be fairly happy that we have a striker who has been capable of scoring 20 goals in the premier league with a rubbish team like blackburn. It's disgusting, now we are "the richest club in the world" we should be expecting a squad of galactico's? It's disgracfull, i feel sorry for players like Cruz and Bellemy who are being judged and abused by our fickle 'fans'.
Secondly when was the last time we had a striker capable of getting 20+ goals in one season in the premier league? The people comparing him to corradi and samaras are comical.
Yes he is injury prone, but so what, would you turn your noses up if we signed van persie, eduardo or gillardino?
Is the transfer window closed already? Is it not true that we are being consistantly linked with tevez and eto'o also? With one of our most trusted 'ITK's' saying that tevez has basically signed 99.9% adding credibility to the papers (spursman321), you galactico hunters will still get someone to get on the back of your new shirt.
People really need to stop being little brats spitting there dummies out, im not saying RSC is going to get us 30 goals and be a world beater, but i am not judging him before he even plays for us!
... :) CTID.
sorry but i disagree........we have been linked with RSC for a while.....and i thikn while thaskin was in charge as well......and even then i didnt want him....its not about wanting superstars....its about the type pof player for me we are getting.......i would rather have a younger player for less money with less of a worrying injury record who has different attributes to RSC....as this is what can make the difference.......we need the type fo forward who can create on his own, play on the shoulder of the last man, beat people with power and pace,
RSC plays like a post in basketball....he sticks in the middle....with him int he team we will have tpo play a quite rigid formation....he wont be playing upfront on his own and noone of the top teams really play 4-4-2 nowadays (certainly chelski utd liverpool dont.....they have player s who drift and and interchangeable....a fluid forward line if you will....RSC doesnt offer this option
