Groundhog day fellas..... He had his medical friday in walley range. Did he fail it? Well who knows, i just know he's had 1, though if stevie wonder was doing it he'd still find more water on his knee than the old cubicles at moss side swimming baths. Cheer up, i c a terrier in the midst.... Elementary dear watson

I'm confused ???

Everybody is reporting that RSC is having his medical today having flown in from Paraguay yesterday ???

Zin Zimmer told us he had it in Whalley Range last week ????

Genius

Dont believe Sky my friend... He has already had his medical but for obvious reasons City cannot just announce "he has signed" they leak he is having a medical and then later he signs. I assume he passed it as I have not been told any different. As far as I am informed Tevez has already had one too.
As for people moaning about his injuryt record please bare in mind he chose to miss as much of the season as he did, the injury could have waited until this summer but City want there targets in early.

Not quoting Sky. Been reading a translated Paraguyan website from another site which says he has only flown to Manchester this weekend.

I dont think he was catching a flight from Whalley Range to Manchester

One thing that concerns me a little is not his ability, but how he would fit in to City's team.

Blackburn fed him with crosses. At City we have a short passing game, and although we play with wide forwards, we don't really play many crosses in across the area.

Will he be as effective with say SWP on the right, and Robinho on the left. he'd be taking the ball into feet, and laying it off, a ot more close technical stuff.

I think he can do that, and he gives us an extra option, but I doubt he'll score as many goals with his head as he did for Blackburn, not unless we change our style of play somewhat.

We should be better at set-pieces next season. We have Barry now who an deliver a good bal, and hopefully a very good header of the ball. When have we last had that?

I think you'd have to go as far back as Joe Royle

When you consder spurs paid sixteen million for bent and fourteen for the drunk Russian.dippers paid twenty for a twenty nine year old robbie keane, we have a deal that is pretty good.

I dont think anyone has a problem with us signing RSC, in fact I have not spoken to a City fan yet who has said that they do not want him because of his lack of ability. Most negative comments about the RSC transfer comes from the fee involved and I too feel what we are paying is way more than his market worth at this current time however it is not our money and I think if we try to consider this then RSC is a cracking signing!
No one said anything when Arsenal paid £10 Million for a central defender. Strikers cost more. I don't think the fee is that expensive when you consider what other Premiership strikers go for.
Very good point.

The guy Arsenal signed, i can't spell his name, is from the dutch league and we all know how good that is at the minute. Santa Cruz is proven in the Prem, and i don't buy into him being so injury prone. I think a lot of it last season was due to him not wanting to be there and not wanting to play for fat bastard Allardyce, which you can't blame him for

Zimmer and Ajay are well overated tbh... Anyway RSC will create space for our charging 5 and a half footers whilst getting on the end of things whilst giving their centre backs a good elbowing too! Hughesy knows him and that's enough for me. Santa Cruz, Robinho and Tevez?! Sounds bloody great if nothing else...

The only problem with using the Bent deal as an example is that it almost makes our signing of Danny Mills look good value for money, almost!!!

He has missed a lot of games through injury. There's no getting away from that, but then Hughes should no his playing history, and they can take a look at his knee before we sign him. I reckon you might be right about the injury last season. Blackburn messed him about with the move, and he thought OK, I'll get myself sorted for my next club.

Your'e not wrong but we don't put in too many crosses because when your forward line is a bunch of midgets (Robbie, Bellers etc) we never had anyone capable of getting on the end of em
