Ross Barkley

I still think Barkley needs a few seasons at Everton, it's altight putting in a top performance once a month but at our level you need to be doing it every week. You have to remember this is still his first season in top flight football.

His price won't fluctuate too much from now until a few years time, Everton could easily demand 40m now for his potential and could demand 40m in a few years if he lives up to his potential, they are in a win win situation at the moment.

Could easily give him 20 plus games next season would love to see a midfield 3 of fernandinho barkley yaya. Could get barkley Instead of fernando or both and let rodwell and garcia go.

I think we should just go out and buy Barkley right now. Today. Immediately.
Just like the rags did with Rooney. Stump up the cash and do the deal.
He is the real deal and a ready made replacement for Yaya. He's young and he's English.
He would enhance our squad without a doubt.

Can he play in a midfield 2? To me he's a #10 not a box to box midfielder. That being said I agree. He's a very talented player who'd be brilliant in a city shirt. Would help with the homegrown issue as well. Can we afford to buy him with the FFP restrictions though? IMO he needs another year at Everton to really develop because as good as he was this year he still wasn't a game in game out starter. Some creativity is needed. Maybe sign him this summer but the deal doesn't go into effect until the following season. Give them 10-15m upfront and they keep him for one more year.

If Yaya is off surely we need to be in for Barkley. He's young so we'd get good value for money, he's homegrown and English for the quota and he would be suited to the role Yaya currently plays (although obviously not as good yet). Everton don't have a pot to piss in and had to rely on loans last season so they would be open to selling at the right price. He was class when we played them at their place and he will only get better playing with the players we have.

He's got the potential but I think we're forgetting just how good yaya is. I doubt Barkley could come in for a straight replacement to yaya. I would of loved them two to of been here togethor but the chances of that are slim.

Barkley is not one for now he is one for the future and is not a current replacement for Toure

Next season is going to be a big one for him and if he performans more consistently then everybody will be after him as it is now Everton would still demand a huge fee - the risk is far far to big

The lad must stay at everton. Moving now will stump his progress.
That's not true. We could make him our new Yaya. Seemed to work ok when Rooney went to United

Let's start producing our very own Ross Barkley and Luke Shaw. It might take a while but the long term benefits would be very rewarding, This is why we have paid a lot of money in our campus,

Rooney got a lot of game time at united. I don't think Barkley would here.

Another season playing regular first team football will really see the lads star rise, but unfortunately for us his price with it

Problem is we wait a year and he has a cracking world cup and season then suddenly every single club out there is fighting for him and the price goes to a stupid amount. If we take the relatively low risk now we could get him a lot cheaper and not have so much competition for him. I really do think he's the real deal.
