Seen him interviewed for the first time just now and he seems like a complete simpleton. Good player, but not what we need. We already have far better players in his position and I've not seen any evidence that he can actually play in central midfield(which is what we need). If he can sort his passing out then he could be a big player for England in the future though

Very, very harsh.

Don't know how you can make such an assertion on a kid giving his first public interview.
Did you see it? It was Rooney-esque. Not helped obviously be the fairly eloquent Jagielka alongside him showing him up a bit

I saw it. He came across as a bit of a mouth breather, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

He's scouse.

Good job being articulate makes you a good footballer...

Yes, I remember one particular Tevez oration about Wittgenstein's later works that was extremely enlightening...

Looks a good player and still only 17. 30 million?? Not worth it imo and he's probably best staying at Everton untill he's 19 and play week in week out

He's 20.

I rate him quite highly. Seems to be built to play the number 10 role. Martinez is the best thing that will ever happen to him. I'd buy him and loan him back for next season. Hoping that the agreement gets us a cut rate deal. Everton won't be able to find a replacement so easily. They could use the money and restock the squad.

yeah Barkley and Luke Shaw are class. Would be two great signings but every other big club are obviously looking at them both, If we could pay around £40 for the pair then I think that would represent good business as they'd be in the side for years

If he can get them for £40, I'll stump up the money myself!

we should definitly be going for this guy, he was exceptional today and has been all season. Him and shaw are the two we should be going for

I hope we can get him and Shaw, but we can loan then back to their current clubs for a while once they're acquired. He seems to be a good player.
