Rossi could go for as little as £12m

I don't think he would ever come to us after being at United. I would like him though. I think he is a good player, He is Italian and plays for Italy but in New Jersey, USA and lived there for the first 12 years of his life. He has perfect English

And Spanish.
As I said before; if the injury didn't permanently reduce his capacity I'd love to see him here. His past connection with United probably means absolutely nothing to him now.

I'm not saying he wouldn't come to City out of love for United. But he might not want to come because of how he would be treated by those scumbags if he had to live in Manchester and play for us.

You can try to work out an arrangement where he doesn't need to play for City but can still come over for training sessions and all.

What do you think, - we he be worth the gamble?

He just had two consecutive serious injuries, but Villarreal being relegated last season must be looking to cash in on some of their high profile players.
If a medical said he's back in shape, I think he would be an awesome addition to our striker force, still being just 25 yo.

Yeah well I was thinking as a replacement for any one we might loose this summer.

I watched quite a lot of Rossi before his first injury and have to say he looked really really sharp, one of the very best in La Liga.
He'd be cheap, wouldn't require one of those massive weekly wages and still has many years ahead of him.

In edit: Before his injury he was by far a better striker than both Dzeko and Balotelli.

Well I guess we can sent him to an isolation camp churning out cold, heartless killers.

No he wasn't.

Okay, that's a matter of opinion I know. In my opinion he was. But quite some distance. I think the Rossi we saw then would easily be the second best striker in today's City offence, coming in just behind Aguero.

A glimpse of his qualities:

Rossi is a very good player but injuries are a concern. I also really rate Nilmar who also was injured last year but I don't think he has a history of them. Both good finishers and are quick, fast and got pace.
