Rotherham (FA Cup) Post Match Thread

Spot on, so many young blues there today (our future support), that’s why it is important to go strong and give those youngsters a taste of the club and future. Very young lad in front of me had predicted 6-0 not far off :)

Out of the mouths of babes , my grandkids asked do City win 7-0 every week :(

The ref gave us nothing all afternoon , talk about favouring the underdog , 7-0 and we were just going through the motions , well done to our football club for the ticket pricing , my grandchildren enjoyed their first game today , they were awestruck and enjoyed a great day out ,another generation of blues is on the way
I think “just going through the motions” is harsh

Approached the game in just the right way, Sane chasing back and breaking down an attack when the score was 6-0 summed it up. City have got their mojo back and not forgetting KDB too.

I said at the back end of the game that it pleased me no end that they weren't gonna stick at five or six and were goin' on the offensive right to the final whistle. I think we ought to have a rebate once they start playing that walking/standing still football and just passing round the back, sideways, and back and sideways, and side zzzzzzz!

Rotherham fan here, just got back home from the game. What's to say...well well done on the win. We didn't play anywhere near as good as we can but even if we did you would still have won very comfortably. The gulf in class is huge. Anyhow we know what we are and that's a small club and always will be. Was a privilege to visit the etihad, great fans, class team. Wish you all the best. Oh and there's only 1 team in Manchester and its blue. Best wishes guys. Up the millers

I can’t argue with any of that mate. It was a great turn out from your fans today and it was always unlikely you were going to get anything out of the game. I hope you can turn your form around and avoid the drop this season.

The attendance didn't look too bad there today, apart from the usual patchy look to the North/Family/whatever Stand. Was level 3 open? I thought we'd do well to get somewhere in the mid-thirties today. Particularly with it coming in the middle of a four game run of home games. AND just after Christmas as well, when finances would be stretched. Well done to those blues who made the effort today.

All the top tiers were open and virtually full

Attendance must have been around the 50k mark

At 7-0 not a topic for me,
but generally only the ref has got the clock, worldwide.

Extra minutes are being handled differently from country to country, mind.
Swiss association is said to give an additional half minute per sub.
In Germany subs are now also taken into account in some way, but not since very long.

The rule though - that was your point - is (not the wording though):
the ref should end the match after 90 minutes and he CAN
add some minutes IF he had the personal impression there was much extra ordinary time wasting.

I didn't see that time wasting today, just many goals and subs.
The ref had all the right to whistle then, but at 7-0 he must have thought 'let's leave it here'.

If some on here needed more goals on their betting sheet ask Jesus, Mahrez and others ;-)
Thank fuck Mike dean didn’t decide “he had the right to whistle” with no injury time in the qpr game in 2013 eh?
