I think, as we enter the second half of the season and a scrap on for the title, he will want as many first team players to be match fit and will give those needing minutes a start tomorrow. There should be some youth, but I am not expecting a lot

Tomorrow ?

Have I gone early ?, I have left for the game already.

Which is the best place to get the game? Which site does everyone use through the television or internet? Any smart tv streams?

I too expect it’ll likely only be Phil plus maybe two other youngsters at most. If I had to wager a guess on exactly who, I would say Foden, Herrera (if you can class him as a youngster these days), and *maybe* Matondo or Pozo on the bench.

I doubt any of Garcia, Gomes, or Bolton will feature given they played yesterday.

But, regardless, they should play today. ;-)

It’ll be on ESPN+ if you have a VPN with a USA server (free trial, etc).

That should make finding a raging river a bit easier, as well.

This game makes or breaks Mahrez City career. Test of his mentality. I am not necessarily expecting or demanding he have a great game, but I am expecting him to:

a) start
b) have the mentality of wanting to control the game and take responsibility for opening up what will be a very determined and disciplined Rotherham defence.

They'll be other City players out there who I know will be 100% up for it e.g. Foden and Jesus, but I have a little doubt about Mahrez. Today is many things, but one of them is a test of Mahrez. Maybe Guardiola has no doubts, but I haven't been impressed with his mentality so far. He seems to have been coasting and passing up responsibility.

Avoid a replay City. Expecting to see one of Sterling or Sane on the bench. And maybe KDB on the bench too. If RUFC are defending for an hour, and the game is not going our way, it might be key to opening them up by bringing on two top players. Hopefully it doesn't get to that stage.

Looking forward to the game today after the Liverpool win. Hopefully City can build on that today.
Listen to yourself mate - ' This game makes or breaks Mahrez City career'?
U wot?
Come on.

Pep will know that he has Liverpool firmly in his sights, and with tough games coming up for us, I believe he will still want to rotate and maintain as high a level with no drop off, hence why I made my comment.
If we were in the same position as last season, I could see many youngsters starting, but not today.

Game time in a few hrs, so we will soon find out eh

Yes, I was agreeing with you!

And having a bit of fun about when the match was being played, but I see someone beat me to that. :-)

It does for me. We'll see today if he has the right mentality to play for a top side. I know he has the technical quality, but I have a doubt about whether he wants it enough. We find out today.

You're dismissive but I bet you Guardiola will be looking at the 1st team squad members who play today who are fresh and expecting and demanding they step up to the plate. Some wont, because of lack of form, but it should never be for lack of desire. If anyone coasts, they put themselves in the 2nd 11.

This should not be a controversial point, but I make it because for me Mahrez has disappointed so far in a City shirt. Today is an opportunity for him and I want to see him go for it.
