Yep, I've watched this (when possible) since I was about 5 or 6 when my parents explained how important it was to remember (it still is).It was on TV when I was in short pants, and there was always an 'entertainment' aspect before the solemn bit at the end.

It's been the same for the 55-60 years I've watched it, it's not "theatre", it is what it's always been.I am not against the tribute to those who served and suffered. I object to making theatre of it. Most but not all of the last 10 minutes was all that was necessary.
