To be honest, I don't really understand what happened here. Why would these people have otherwise been entitled to buy these homes? Like the right to buy council houses or something?

That is the gist of it, right to buy was blocked on the estate of charlie at his request exempting him from the leaseholder act where residents should be subject to the right to buy as anyone else after a certain period of time living in a property

Both, the housing stuff was charles, lizzie has lobied for other stuff, but jointly they have vwtted over 1000 laws before they go to parliament and lobied to have amendments in their favour.

I am reserving judgement until I’ve seen it in detail, I’m not denying what you’re saying as I have no read the accusations myself.

Of course it’s disappointing and will somewhat damage the monarchy’s reputation but in my opinion it’s not even close to being something to consider if the monarchy still has a place.
