Maybe but as I say this 100% management agitation are we supposed to take it lying down? When your job security is at risk redundancy is not much of a threat. Must dash I've got a vanful of online shopping to deliver :)Doubtful dont you think?

The post office is a victim of progress, there are many many more carriers people can use and these carriers will pick up the slack if they need something delivered. Strike action and in particular strike action by underpaid undervalued workers should of course be supported but it's a little strange to expect the very businesses a strike puts at risk to support them.

Its catch 22.
Firstly, it's the company who have the contracts and not the workers.
Secondly, I'm sure if you went through the issues then you'd probably support them too. I'm not a big fan of striking in general but this is a huge example of the workers getting fucked over. And purposely so aswell. It was blatant mate.
They had the choice between not striking and watching their company disappear or strike and try to prevent it. This is one of the few strikes where the workers are on the side of the customers more than management.
Since Royal Mail was privatised, it has essentially become a business that sells off major part of its property portfolio then pays that profit as dividend to its shareholders while almost ignoring the postal side of the business. Its grotesque.

Well, at least no one can deny that the ballot is a democratic decision.
If we only had majorities like that in other matters there'd be a lot less argument.

Knock yourselves out striking btw, hope you get what you want out of it but in the meantime, if it affects me i will go elsewhere.
