I don't think he was shit at all, and more wasn't given a proper chance at the club, but I remember Alfons Groenendijk playing a game for us and absolutely running it from start to finish. A cultured midfielder that we just weren't used to in English football at the time..

He was promptly dropped for the next game and I don't think was ever seen again

Also Kare Ingebrigtsen for that hat trick against Leicester, who again disappeared thereafter despite obviously have something about him, so obviously somebody thought they were both crap.

Apparently they managed 24 appearances for us combined, but I think most must have been from the bench.

Yet, comparatively, he was one of the poorest members of City’s squad and was let go pretty quickly.
