All I can say, is that after 2 years of planning, passing on Koulibaly, Koundé, Diego Carlos, Harry Maguire, Jose Maria Gimenez and everyone else they looked at, he better be fucking world class.

It's been 7 years since Mangala was bought to play when Kompany was always injured, and the best we've managed is about 6 months of Stones looking up to it. The last time we did a deal to help out Mendes it was Otamendi, who gave 100% but was a god awful transfer for a side who knew they were about to bring in the manager with the highest line in world football. It just can't go on, they're out of chances to fuck up.

That time came a few years ago for me. We probably have the worst defensive recruitment in the league. I had hoped we would bring in somebody that knows what they’re doing. Trusting the same people that have had one success in over ten years, having spent hundreds of millions of pounds, doesn’t seem very smart.

I think it's perfectly fine to question a lot of stuff in the media. There is obviously a middle ground between taking it all as fact and ignoring the transfer forum and only having mancity.com bookmarked. I don't need to believe that Dias was our 4th target this summer because he didn't hit City Xtra feed until the third week of September. He was heavily linked last summer, so more than likely he was part of a group of primary targets.

How do you know he was 4th choice mate . We haven’t even come out and said who was our choices anyway. He is 4th choice because that’s what the papers said so there is no truth in that. Don’t feel deflated mate we are getting one of the best young defenders in Europe .

Its absolutely justified to question our CB purchasing. Kompany and Laporte are the only two top CBs we have signed in 12 years.

12 years! One of them is now retired.
