It doesn't add up. Maybe we wanted this guy for a while, but I don't understand why we would low bid Kounde then fuck off. He's 21. The price is about the going rate.

I'm starting to think we are either short of money or have more deals incoming.

Of course one could perhaps be Messi, in the future & maybe we can't finance it without using some of the transfer kitty.
 
Getting Yaya vibes from him, in the sense that when he moves he looks tall and clumsy as fuck but then you got surprised by how good he is on the ball.
 
Don't know too much about Dias as I don't watch Portugese football. But he is 23 so is a much better bet than Koulibaly age wise. If we can get him for 55M and the other two we are linked with are 20m more than that, I can see why he would be a good choice on paper. Perhaps if Benfica are receptive to getting Otamendi as part of the deal and the other teams aren't, then that could be a factor also.
 
Well just read that Otamendi is the reason Dias becoming a real possibility as Seville were not willing to accept him in the Kounde deal. If that's true it just a bad way to do business imho. Long contracts to declining players and then half a battle to trying to remove them. Just like at the swamps.
Hopefully Dias will come good

Why are so many saying he's no good ?

I was totally up for us signing him a while back but haven't kept tabs on him & have just read people slagging him from time to time.

Has he really been bad or is it just bollocks ?
