Ruben Neves

Never really kicked on from a great start at Wolves. Maybe a little too slow and playing in Saudi wouldn't have improved him much. Give this one a swerve.
A player with ambition and years ahead of him doesn't go to Saudi to play football. He plays for money, which is fine, but we want players who play for trophies and have some fire in their bellies.

The difference between the Saudi league and the level we're at is night and day and there's no way a player can make the jump back up.

Agreed with you guys plus he never really made the expected jump in the Premier League either, he had an absolutely outstanding season in the Championship, he was announced as a new Portuguese superstar and already had huge hype before joining Wolves.

Once in the Prem he changed his play style as he wasn't as effective as he previously was, to be quite truthful during his entire Wolves stay he was outshined by João Moutinho, that's a man who is an entire decade older than Ruben Neves and still was doing a great job at 36.

In my opinion he isn't good enough for us and at nearly 28 he's taken at least a year off by joining the Saudi League, truth be told he's a much lessor version of someone like Michael Carrick.

Like I said Moutinho who outshined him was a far more impressive player despite ageing and I'm talking even 15-20 years ago, he was a more remarkable player while still playing in Portugal for Sporting CP those 15-20 years ago, even then he showed more than Ruben Neves ever has whilst playing in top flight football so it's a definite no from me.

I was kinda hoping the rags, the dippers or arse wanted him when leaving Wolves, never believed he's good enough for a truly elite team.
