Rugby League Season 2023

Brutal game. Those forwards are so fit these days. When I first started watching half of them were big fatties.

Wigan deserved to win. Hope the Saints guy who got stretchered off is ok. Looked in quite a bad way.

Highest attendance in 18 years at DW Wigan today 24275 . Incredible atmosphere and a belter of a tribal local derby . The town of Wigan done proud today . Only just got home after popping into the pub on the way home from the game ! :) :)

Good to see such a big crowd at the Wigan/Saints game today. Just over 24000. They got value for money with that one.
About 22,000 at Hull yesterday n’all.

35,000 at the Canterbury v Souths game n’all which is about 12,000 up on their home crowds from before Covid. 52,000 for the first ever Brisbane derby a few weeks ago.

It feels like the sport is on the ‘up’ at the moment.

Think he was unconscious for a number of minutes. Very serious! But he was supposed to be up and alert last night.

These lads really are men of steel. I wish football was as honest-tough as rugby league. Imagine how good footy would be if there was no rolling around pretending to be injured!

I remember watching a Manly game where Steve Matai dislocated his shoulder and was still playing on getting back in the defensive line and tackling with the other shoulder as he said he didn’t want to let his teammates down by going off at that point in the game.

When you go to a super league game you can hear the shuddering impact of a hard tackle . More often than not the receiving player just gets up , contact sport at its best ! Yesterday,s derby at the DW was relentless and even with the fantastic full house atmosphere you could almost hear every crunching tackle .

Yes it’s brutal at times. Wire v Wigan next Friday should be a good one.

What a stupid **** Dudson! Gifted Catalans the win now for no reason.

Edit* Wow just checked the final score, what a win. Dudson needs fucking off for that punch though

I went yesterday …Saints fan sat in the Wigan end. Zero mither. Wigan totally deserved the win, Saints had their chances but couldn’t get them over the line. A good day out all the same
