Rugby League Season 2023

The coach appointments in the time I’ve been watching Wire have been:
An experienced SL coach who’d reached a GF and CCfinal (Powell)
The en-vogue thing of getting an Aussie in just because he’s an Aussie (Price)
An experienced SL winning coach (Smith)
A club legend (Cullen)
A number on interims (Cullen, Anderson, Plange, Lowes)
An experienced SL coach who’d reached a CCfinal (van der Velde)

And, despite winning four Challenge Cups and two League Leaders Shields, and reaching four Grand Finals; all of them failed to win a GF.

So we might as well try something a bit different with Sam Burgess.

Either side would be worthy winners. Hull KR are being described as the Man City of Rugby League in graffiti. I don’t know why but it’s probably not down to our long and distinguished history. I think their rivals Hull FC have a bit of a rag following.
 
I'm in the Hull KR camp. Would have liked leigh to win, but after what went on in the semi final with regards to the saints players injuries, I've swung the other way.

Come on the Robins!!!

Nearly everyone is today it seems.

There is a lot of resentment about Leigh, particularly from former big clubs now in the championship.

As a Div 1 fan I prefer a Lancs club to do well over a Yorks one.
 
Wigan Warriors fans all in the Leigh camp today . Mikey Lewis a little cheating scum bag getting a fellow pro sent off in a CC SF , marked man him now and what goes around comes around as they say !

How do you cheat getting high tackled by someone turning his head away from the tackle? Is he a Jedi?

Listen to the ref; he didn’t say ‘look at Lewis rolling around, you’re off’… he said ‘contact direct to the head, that’s a red card’. Literally sent off for the act of the tackle, the ref word-for-word said it, not because of anything Lewis did.



Moaning about Lewis there is like a Burnley fan saying Walker got their lad sent off last night because he rolled around a lot.

And what’s going to happen to him? Another high tackle?
