Rugby League Season 2023

Unbelievable! Heart breaker…

Penrith were gone at 24-8!

Record sponsorship / stadium naming rights for the Rhinos. The wages including marquee signing is pretty much maxed out so this won’t make a very big difference on the pitch. Fingers crossed it will help to pay for Brodie Croft though.

Tue deal is rumoured to be worth £6m and the company gets the naming rights for 15 years. It doesn’t compare with football but better than the type of sponsorships the RFL tend to secure eg free pizza delivery

Play-off semifinals this weekend:

Friday 6th October
7:30pm Sky Showcase & Sky Sports Mix
8:00pm Catalans v St Helens

Saturday 7th October
12:15pm Sky Showcase & Sky Sports Arena & 12:30pm Channel 4
12:45pm Wigan v Hull KR

Can’t call tonight’s game, Catalans have looked great at times this season but there’s always a clanger of a performance in them. I wasn’t massively impressed with Sts last week, thought they were scrappy in possession. But if they both play to their best it could be a classic!

Can’t see past a Pie win tomorrow, they rarely lose at home. Although Rovers are an exiting team to watch, I don’t think they have the pack to win at Wigan.

Pretty much. Saturday-Friday turnaround is probably not a factor, but it'll be a very physical contest tonight.
They've just said that tonight's match has sold out - it'll be a right bearpit down there.
You say Cats can have a shocker, but so can Saints on occasion. Last week looked laboured and quite disjointed which they'll need to have tidied up. Walmsley will have had another week, but lost Batchelor.

Next year, Wigan should win everything - they've just signed Thompson apparently and will have a monstrous team. I don't know offhand who they're losing in the close season.

Tonight will either be James Roby or Sam Tomkins’ final ever game.
