Salford have the best fans for atmosphere these days. Even though there aren’t many regulars, there were bloody loads of them at the GF the other year.I would like to see Salford get bigger home crowds deserving of the great rugby they’ve played over recent seasons. The away following, particular in the Cup, has been good IIRC.
I’m like a broken reckon this but the RFL are making it harder to attract neutrals, who are out off by the corrupt disciplinary process.
Hopefully, more Clubs will be able to secure improved sponsorship deals like Leeds have for Headingley. Good to read thet new owner of Wakey is talking about investing heavily from his own pocket next season.
I mentioned earlier in the thread about Wakey’s potential. Wakefield is a bigger place than any of Wigan, St Helens, Warrington, Widens and Salford. And it has no football team. Give Wakefield a proper long term plan, investment and stadium and there’s no reason why they can’t be one of SL’s big clubs.
Little things bug me with the RFL - like the way they present the table and fixtures with the silly animal names instead of calling them ‘Warrington’ and ‘Leeds’. How are new fans going to get involved in the game when they don’t even know where the clubs are from?
As well as big things like them denying Manchester that rise up the leagues in favour of Canadian expansion that went nowhere.
