I read today that St Helens’ WCC win last week means it’s now 14-14 for Super League and NRL winners.

Well, that's our (Salford's) good start come to a shuddering halt!

Credit to Hull KR who fully deserved the win last night.

We just never really got going, and it really stood out that we lack a big powerful prop forward.

Got a tough game also next up at Warrington!

It was so one sided in 1997 (all 10 ASL clubs had at least double the SL club points) that they cancelled it, and when they decided to restart it they only held it in England for 14 years. The vast majority have been in England.

Just got back from DW Stadium. Wigan Warriors seriously good tonight , fast pass to speed merchants Field , French and Marsh . Deffo new Aussie style rugby approach for the Warriors with new center Wardle exceptional. All said and done Trinity were shite , big and slow and not much else !

There was talk about Wakey’s pitch from last week being unsuitable to play on.

Steve McNamara said that it’s the worst he’s seen in a changing rooms for blood and that some players had no skin left on their knees.

Fuck knows what they’ll do if their pitch is deemed unsuitable to play on? Their season is already looking daunting (shipped 98 points in the first two games) and if they also have to find a solution (new pitch surface or play at another venue?) to the pitch I can see them having a terrible season.

You’d think they and the RFL would have done their homework on that pitch, surely?
