Rugby Union Six Nations 2023

No disgrace for Scotland, they were the better team for much of the game. Russell may be a bampot but bloody hell he is great to watch. Reminds me of the days of the great fly half’s.

On balance of play should really have won such was their dominance for the majority of the game but going 19-0 down was the killer there and they just ran out of steam at the end.

No disgrace losing to this French side who are fantastic.

Marcus Smith left out of the England training squad, George Ford back in.
Seems strange - and if Lawrence is going to play at inside centre, Ford won't be playing there as a second kicker.
Is there anything more to it that's known, or is it to let him have some game time this weekend?

Smth was awful in his last game, just kicked away good possession. Didn’t think much of him last year.
Both here and elsewhere people have been a bit hard on England. They are clearly improving under Borthwick and Sinfield has transformed the defence. They pushed Wales back 30 yards in possession at one point by pressing hard.

He was, and over the times I've seen him for England, I think that he just doesn't fit the style.

If he's first man from the scrum half, he has no time, and the lumps outside are the wrong people.
If he's second man, he has more space and is closer to the fancy dans wide who will benefit from his tricks.
However, if he's second man, that means he has to rely on getting the ball, and isn't big enough to play at centre in the current style.
Couple that with the fact that Farrell must play (as captain), and nothing is in his favour.

I think perceived improvement is a limited plan, more practice, and maybe one or two players coming back. Sinfield I agree on.
There are some things that I don't understand - the 5 free caps to get Cole to 100 seems to be a plan for now not the future. Are there really no other tight heads?

Relief for Wales at last, actually taking their chances while Italy butchered some of theirs.

And then there was England. Horrific mess, but France thrilling. The comparison from 4-8, 9 and 15 were staggering.

Tomorrow could be a great dust-up.

England are finished and needs a proper rebuild with sir clive Woodward as head of the coaching staff
our rugby style is outdated and powerless and slow its dead in the water,

4 years of planning for the next world cup and building with youth in the six nations over them 4 years

Or we just have shit players, I watched the first 30 minutes, they were worse than Wales in any of their games, and they've been terrible, luckily (well I might argue that comment) City came along so I turned over (not sure that was much better - result apart).
