I thought the NZ defender initiated the tackle and thought they’d give ours the benefit of the doubt but obviously not, and the commentators agreed which I found strange.

I thought it was a ref's call one really - could have gone either way. I think (and it's only think) that he's run too close to the defender to get away with it.

It's very scrappy. Lots of errors.

It was explained pretty clearly.
The referees decided Curran was ahead of the passer so he couldn't have receive the ball and so isnt allowed to operate as a dummy runner.
I think it is a very harsh call as he looked almost level to me.

I thought he was clearly in front before the ball was passed; the only question was whether he ran into the defender, or if the defender went to him. A yard to the right and he'd have been okay, I think.
