Ok where to start, first off sorry if I came across obtuse yesterday, full of ale, pissed off Wales lost against 13 ffs and then saw a great game from the super league final

Very proud of our rugby team at the moment, hopefully Sexton isn't too bad although I can't see O'Connell making another appearance now, if that's the case then cheers for everything big man and hopefully we can send you off with a medal in your pocket to cap a wonderful international career.

Yeah the rugby team has been our only high point in recent years along with our amatur boxing team. Today from what I seen we played well. Shame about the injuries to O Connell , Sexton and O Mahaony too its not looking good for the Argentina game which will be tricky they are getting better better all the time they play Aus , NZ and SA so its not nailled on by any means. Sad to see O Brien do what he do and he could well be out for the rest of the World Cup foolish man that he is. Still I look forward to next weekend and to see what the selection is going to be think Zebo was unlucky to miss out originally from todays game along with Henderson who has been 1 of our best forwards this tournament he was truely brilliant. Cant wait but good luck to the SCOTS and Welsh too in the quatar finals.

Between Henderson, Henshaw and Bowe for MOTM today, couldn't pick one. Madigan absolutely fantastic as well, came in psyched up and won every match up he got into. We've been lucky up until now with injuries but with such intense matches against Italy and France they were bound to happen.
Not too worried about the Argies, if we dominate at the breakdown and set pieces as we should we'll beat them by 10-12, I want to see more scrummaging like today though.

It will be a close game they put it up to the All Blacks when they played them. So with our injuries it is going to be hard for us after the last 2 games. It will be a tight game and single figures Irish win for me.
It comes down to styles, that's why we can't beat the All Blacks, Wales can't beat Australia etc, our style is well suited to beating Argentina. We'll be fine. It's also why our win today was a serious kick in the bollocks for the All Blacks, they suit France.

In World Cups Ireland have played Argentina 3 times and has got beaten twice by Argentina and the only time Ireland beat Argentina in a World Cup was by a 1 point winning margin. Its going to be a tight tight game. Ireland could well be without O Connell , Sexton and O Mahaney there are 3 major leaders that could be out for the game. It wont be a easy game.

But we play far more compact and safe then we did before with a great set of kickers and wingers. We won't give them the platform that they need to build attacks and they won't be able to force it. This Irish squad above every other in the tournament is full of leaders.
Some win for Ireland yesterday. Particularly pleasing to see Madigan come on and prove that he can do the business at number 10 when needed, the confidence boost that will give him and the squad could be very important later in the tournament. I agree with Aguero93:20, Argentina will be tough but we should have the beating of them. Our defence is strong enough to nullify their running game and we have the attributes needed to keep the score board ticking over. I'm predicting a similar game to yesterday in terms of scoring patterns. I'm heading to Cardiff myself next weekend for both quarter finals so can't wait, should be 2 great games.
