Rugby League is sooooo much better!

Agreed i am a league fan. Although having played both league and union, union is much better to play.

Being a Salford city reds fan, gutted about tonights result. Was a brilliant game.
thought we were superb in the first half, but in the second half saints completely outclassed us. Although i think the result flattered them a bit.

That second half showed the difference between a team looking to win the super league, and a team fighting just to make the playoffs.
Although it took saints a while to get going, i thought they were class in the second half.

Hopefully will get our first points on the board next week at widness.

there was a couple of dodgy video ref decisions though that could have made it completely different! once saints got in front though we were never gonna bring it back

Yeah, that one in the first half was gonna be given until the video ref looked at it from that third angle.
Think we could/should have been awarded a penalty try in the first half too.
Our kicking game was poor tonight i thought.
Many positives to take tonight though, matty smith, daniel holdsworth were impressive in stages, didn't get the wide players involved as much tbh though. Could have used jody broughton a bit more.

Looking positive though, glad we haven't got that clown mcrae in charge anymore.
I wasn't expecting much tonight, so not too disappointed.

Coming from the mongiest of the mongiest of the Rugby League Towns;

A population of over a 100,000 people and there isn't even a F***ing Cinema, let alone a Theartre or a Comedy Club, I agree Rugby is shite.

Egg - chasing Bastards !!

But, League is much better than Union. Where at the Amateur Level all you have is Police Sergents grabbing each others Balls in the Scrums for a cheap thrill.

I don't think I could ever really be arsed watching a domestic rugby game, but I enjoy international Rugby Union.

I realise that essentially makes me a part time, glory hunter although I have no great affinity with the English national team. I quite like Wales, just because a close mate from Cardiff got me into the game, but obviously am not particularly partisan either way.

I do really get in to Lions tours though, just because it feels like a great sporting spectacle. This gives me zero credibility amongst genuine Union fans, but I don't mind.

I don't mind Rugby League either, can see the merits of both disciplines. The concept of having to pass backwards to move forwards is a good one.
