I was born and reared in the shadow of Thomond Park, so you can guess which camp I'm in.
That said... I can't stand Premiership rugby. Boring, stodgy, attrition based football. The Celtic League & France Top 14 totally outclass it - as evidenced by the qualifiers for the knock out stages of the Heineken Cup.

The Heineken Cup, incidentally, is one of the greatest competitions around. It's even outshining the Six Nations these days and I never dreamt that I'd be saying that.

This current England team must be the most boring team ever assembled.
Watching them limping over the finishing line against a clueless Italian side was simply painful to watch.
At least the other countries try to score tries.
England seem content to play for penalties.
Why folk flock to Twickenham to witness this dross is beyond me.

what an appalling sport that is. I switched on the super bowl for 20 minutes and saw all of 1.30 minute of play which consisted of a tackle and someone throwing the ball into no mans land.

I'm not a domestic RU fan but will always watch 6 Nations and Rugby World Cup

Rugby Yawnion, sorry, Union is not a good sport.

Rugby league, however, is a fantastic sport. It's the best sport to play on the planet. I enjoyed playing RL much more than footy. I got much more of a physical fulfilment from it, playing footy left me feeling like I hadn't worked hard enough or exherted myself into it enough even if I'd ran around like a loon.

Spectator-wise, RL is a great sport too. Fast, furious, fair...great sport!

It strikes me as hard to believe that people can only like 1 sport. I love all sports watching and playing. Football will always be my first choice sport but its to understand why people cant respect or understand the skill involved to play other sports
