Heard a strong rumour before Christmas that one of the major surprises in this transfer window could be Terry coming to us.

We need a top class centre back (or two), and he may feel that he's been at Chelsea for a while now and wants to get into a new "project" ;>)

Also heard that we had approached Liverpool for Torres. Thought about it again this week when the Kaka negotiations were really starting to motor and Torres came out with that stuff about not agreeing with Benitez for what he said about Taggart. Just seemed a bit strange and not something to help a player/manager relationship.
