Running thread

Someone left this in the local bookswap, so I snaffled it. It should come in handy for my Mcr Marathon attempt.

Anyone need advice about nutrition, training plans, persistent injuries, let me know - it's all in here! It's like @Stuuuuuu and @inchy14 rolled into one.

Anyone looking for a new pair of running trainers, can’t speak highly enough of my new ones, absolutely fantastic and at a great price from our good friend Mike Ashley, lol.

Asics GT Xpress down to either £36 or £48 depending on size and colour, like running with pillows strapped to feet....

Just sort by price low to high and scroll through them to come across the different colours, also worth noting the sizes stock changes every few days so keep checking , I had to wait a few days for an 11 in the colour I wanted.

my running is slacking and back on the pub booze not helping

much needed track training tonight
Tell me about it, had my first drink since new year on sunday, think Ive somehow cracked a rib.
Just tried an easy four miler with it, was like doing four miles with the stitch from hell.
Running and beer dont mix, or more to the point running me and beer dont mix

You don't fancy the triple 100 then? Run 100 miles and drink 100 pints of beer in 100 hours. Get some ale down thee neck and I think you'll smash it....

Cheers BH.

I was never really going to trouble the engravers on this one. My PB would have only elevated me 1 position. Some seriously good times at the top of the list.

I'm planning on doing the Warrington HM in September if it happens. Target time will be 1:45 - 1:50. Just need to sew my mouth up a few months before.
Get some bill training in, my PB was the Congleton half about 4 years ago, it’s a hilly course so I trained on hills and managed a 1:40 next closest is 1:45 when I do not train hills later the same year. But yes some of the times are brilliant well done all

How about this for the next BM running event. Reckon id be able to do something like 4/5 hours at an absolute push. These people are just machines.

'This is a man who once ran 100 miles to the start of a 100-mile race, then won that race in a record time'

WTF!
