Superb mate . I knew after the injury ravaged training schedule sub 4 was too much for me. I wanted sub 4:15 and got 4:14 So really chuffed . I was tempted with sub 4 but i knew deep down it was too much of a tall order . I got 4:51 last time so can’t be disappointed.Hi all 3.56!

Excellent Top Gun. I knew you were capable of sub 3. Did you smash it and get the pacing to perfection this time?8 pints in now lads, refreshments are key!! Yep went off too quick, but held the pace until around the 21 mile mark when for some unknown reason i decided a piss would be a great idea, not so much, was a struggle after that, but lessons learned, got the sub3 but can do better, huge congrats to all of you that smashed it today. In the meantime I shall now beat all these plastic paddys as drinkin guinness in mulligans!!!
No mate blew the pacing as usual, your big help to me always. Your tip to get pull up bar when i had covid helped so much, just a stepping stone again this one, thanks for all the adviceExcellent Top Gun. I knew you were capable of sub 3. Did you smash it and get the pacing to perfection this time?
How about cycling?Got pain in both knees :(
Was a very good dancer in my younger years. Still decent when my knees hold up. Went to a wedding 2 weeks ago and dance for an hour.
Havent run in 2 weeks both knees are wrecked. I'm mean, my knees have always been creaky, but damn!
All I want to do is run 2 miles a day. Nothing intense or even.moderatelt arduous. just your most basic baseline of fitness running and my knees can't even tolerate that. A 10 minute a mile pace is painful these days :(
I'm just saddened about the whole thing..Wifey thinks I should consider surgery. But I have friends (2) who did and it wasn't very helpful :(
& to the blue that spotted my City shirt this morning, told me I could do it with my first marathon nerves & proceeded to stick with me until the 22 mile mark, you restored my faith in humanity. I hope you see this.First marathon for me & finished it in 4 hours and 29 minutes. Buzzing with that.
The misses bought one of those in the basement. It hurts my butt and TMIv( my balls feel numb once I get off) if I ride for more than 15 minutes. How about cycling?
Well done mateManaged a sub4 too! Last few miles were horrific. Legs were not feeling good today, even early on but achieved my goal. Only just got battery on the phone @gaz76 but wasn't in town mate, the Guinness went down a treat!
Top effort bluesWell done mate
I just about did it
3.56 but last 2 miles were absolutely hell
We ran more yesterday than those clowns at the Swamp have done all seasonTop effort blues

The bit around alty and timperley, then brooklands road was brutal.I was 3.56 as well mate! Was hoping to be more around 3.45 but just wasn't feeling it at all. Abandoned that very early and just stuck to a steady sub-4 pace to bank a little bit of time. Managed to hold it until 5k out, gritting my teeth through Sale and up to Stretford!
Chuffed to bits though. Never felt such pain as when I stopped after the line though. Except for this morning when the Guinness and dehydration caught up with me.
Week 6 day 2 of HM training plan steady/tempo 5 miles. Not my furthest not my fastest but amazing run. This day 5 years ago I collapsed just about to enter Stamford bridge for city game and was rushed into hospital with perforated bowel. Had emergency surgery, coming out of theatre into HDU took collapsed lung. Once that cleared up got MRSA and in insolation room of HDU for almost 2 weeks with no visitors. Then on normal ward for week before being sent home. Couldn't walk to end of my road for over week. Eventually making it to coffee shop and sit reading for hour to get strength back to walk the couple hundred metres home again. Almost 3 months off work. If someone told me then I'd enjoy running so so much I'd have that they were crazy.
