Running thread

Had a busy week so I've not been able to get out until this morning. Thought I'd brave the cold (well, 5°so freezing for me!) at 7:30 and get a 10k in before work. It was going well until I saw a mountain biker coming up the hill I was descending. Moved across to let him through whilst taking my eye of the rocky path to give him a warm runners nod when, at the same time, I kicked a rock which sent me sprawling down the hill. Ripped my gloves to shreds, cut all my hand and thigh and burst my water bottle! Fortunately, he was a nice bloke and was well prepared so he cleaned and bandaged me up before sending me on my way with only 2km to run. Annoyingly, I did exactly the same a few years back on the same route but that time I had 16km to run back whilst whimpering and dripping blood from both hands.

Hopefully, I'll learn my lesson this time. Look where I'm going and don't be as friendly to passing cyclists!
Glad yer OK mate, other humans are a massive pain in the arse, plus it sounds like this lad has form for it as well , as he just so happened to have a first aid kit with him, i think you need to report this to the police before he claims any more victims

Definitely wasn't his first time. It was like a chemist on wheels! Iodine, wipes, bandages, mini scissors; he had the lot. Just waiting for him to bob round to change my bandages.

I currently have this cold/cough that's going around, had it all week which has written off any running for fear of making it worse. Dying to get out there and do some running though.

Same here mate, had three days off work feeling like shit, managed to do a mile two of the days and 3 miles today to keep my run streak alive, felt like I was on couch to 5k, not good at all.

I had a cough and cold about six weeks ago. Managed to throw it off after two weeks and made three 5km runs. Then three weeks ago, I picked up another cough and cold which lasted another two weeks. Managed a 5km this week and hoping to Parkrun tomorrow, down in Wembley again.

My bloody minors lights broke. Can't see bugger all now when I go running after work in the park. I did go around the streets on Sunday but I really don't like it. I like to be away from all the traffic etc. Wish there was a running track with floodlights near me,like the one I used to run on at The Clough. P.S just ordered new light.
