Same! Did my first sub 25min 5km this morning and I was gasping like a mother fucker. Almost choked myself to death. Never trying that again.Last run before Sunday just now and did a hard (for me) 5k. God I hate doing 5ks, they really are fucking miserable when you are trying to go fast. 25 minutes of blowing out of my arse and wanting to give up.
It’s a really good milestone to break though so well done.Same! Did my first sub 25min 5km this morning and I was gasping like a mother fucker. Almost choked myself to death. Never trying that again.
Haha. I did my first 9 Parkruns with a PB each time, culminating in my fastest ever 5k of 24:30. I was absolutely wasted at the end. My best these days would be around 30 mins, but much more enjoyable slow running.Same! Did my first sub 25min 5km this morning and I was gasping like a mother fucker. Almost choked myself to death. Well done pal, now you can enjoy the match feeling knackered but satisfied.Done it. It was cold, but it warmed up a bit. A lovely run, but I'm tired now. 21.1km is the official distance, but I didn't want to underestimate it.
Good luck everyone on your runs.![]()

Ive done it a quite a few times, think sale is a mile round and chorlton a mile twice round say maybe three in between, could carry on from chorlton and go round fletcher moss at the other end? Or get up to the bridgewater canal to stretch it out, bridgewater towpath is flat as a pancake, you can plan out a route on strava to get the distanceHas anyone run from Chorlton Water Park to Sale Water Park and back? Just wanted an idea of distance thanks.
Cheers mate yeah was thinking about adding the canal onto it for extra miles.Ive done it a quite a few times, think sale is a mile round and chorlton a mile twice round say maybe three in between, could carry on from chorlton and go round fletcher moss at the other end? I live in Lymm. My route this morning was Bridgewater Canal to Grappenhall (nice and flat), then into Grappenhall Village, and back up Weaste Lane towards Lymm. Round the dam, then Crouchley Lane to Agden, then downhill to finish at Heatley, near to home.Where in Warrington are you?
Ive only ever ran there mate, but the mrs reckons its free, which makes sense as you could just park on one of the roads next to it and wal...... Run through the car parkRandom question mate do you know if the car park at Chorlton Water Park takes card payments?
