Running thread

I've had a good night's sleep. Just had cramps on the front of my left shin! Very painful, and it's difficult to know which bit to stretch to relieve it. Standing up sorted it out.

Great post Paladin and a fantastic achievement. As has been said my @ob yours was a proper inspirational story and kudos to @BlueHammer85 as well for organising events this last year, which motivated quite a few of us to push ourselves that bit further.

Great thread this and long may it continue.
Well said @franksinatra. It was @BlueHammer85's BlueMoon half marathon in February that was the catalyst for me entering the marathon.

Some great posts on here. Very Inspirational!!
I didn’t sleep very well last night, hallucinations from my body trying to regulate itself and my legs seized up. I was like an extra out of the walking dead taking the kids to school this morning.
What an experience though , the crowd was fantastic . Not easy having to run past several pubs and a McDonald’s near the end. I wasn’t expecting them hills around Altrincham either that was hard work.

Yeah the pubs and McDonalds were a killer especially smelling people have BBQ's around near the end. Yeah I weren't expecting them hills either.

Well done all who completed the HM and Marathon yesterday. A great achievement and regardless of the time you made it! Cherish that medal and wear the t-shirt with pride!

And never say never about doing another one.... I swore I'd never do another but have just entered the ballot for the London Marathon next year and will enter one somewhere next year if I'm unsuccessful with that.

I forgot to pick up a t-shirt…. Too busy getting to my partner and parents!! Schoolboy error!!

Huge congrats to everyone that did the race yesterday, i got round in 3.24, which by strange coincidence is what time i got the mrs out of bed to let me in the house!!
Had to grit my teeth towards the end, but more than happy with my time and delighted to beat my time from london last week.
Well done mate. Brilliant time.
