Hi mate, I use mine in rotation, Ive about ten pairs on the go(as many as I can get without the mrs noticing Im spending all my cash on trainers!!), Ive read amd also found that rotating helps stave off any injuries.Seen a few comments regarding footwear, and got me thinking....
I have a pair of Adidas Ultraboost, but the soles have started to split so need replacing. I have always found them comfortable, although have suffered with various leg niggles (ankles, knees) and lower back pain from time to time, but put this more down to perhaps not stretching enough as a routine.
So, I'm leaning towards buying another pair of Ultraboost, and my goals are only really going up to half marathon's at the moment, although that may change when the London ballot is announced later this month!
Do some of you use different footwear for long runs and races?
I use my current Ultraboost for everything currently, including walks (~15km a week).
I guess just wary of spending £100-£150 on pair of running shoes and finding them uncomfortable.
For races I use vaporfly mainly because they fast as fuck, and Im a sheep who sees everyone else has them on, for all other runs I just mix them between speed, terrain and distance.
Personally I would never run im adidas, for the same reason I wouldnt have a vodaphone or use sis gels .
Regarding buying them and they no good, Ive found that the big shops(sportsshoes, prodirect etc) and buying direct are great for refunds, I had a pair of alphafly that I didnt like from prodirect, did about 50 miles in them, sent them back... Full refund.
Same with nike, my vapourflys were a year old and developed a rip, sent them back.... Full refund. Nike give you 60 days no quibble money back, and two years on defects.
Hoka also do the same, think its try them for 60 days and if you dont like them they will refund you
