Russian invasion of Ukraine

Boris really is an outcast at European meetings, stood on his own, scruffy fucker tbh.

I would have loved thatcher to have been in power right now, true leader in these times. Today's politicians are comedians and TV personalities.
Strangely Putin thinks Boris is the leading the European response when it comes to opposing Russia.

As I said on the Johnson thread, I suspect it's more to do with bolstering Johnson amongst the UK electorate as he is probably already compromised and is Putin's useful idiot.

Today marks the 29th day of war in Ukraine, which will now head into its second month.

There have been more sanctions, claims of destroyed ships and diplomatic meetings.

Here are the latest developments:

  • NATO leaders have met this morning, with the G7 and EU meeting later today, as the international community tries to deal with the crisis;
  • The US will send anti-ship missiles to Ukraine, while the UK offers to hand over more missiles;
  • Ukraine claims it has destroyed a ship in the southern port of Berdyansk;
  • President Zelenskyy says that Ukraine deserves to be a full EU member;
  • Russia's deputy UN ambassador tells Sky News it would use nuclear weapons 'if provoked';
  • The UK Ministry of Defence says Russian forces are being shored up with foreign mercenaries and conscripts after heavy losses;
  • On the ground, more humanitarian corridors have been opened - but Mariupol has been left of the list

Actually a Kremlin spokesperson (not Putin himself) said they see Boris Johnson is the most active person in the race to appear anti-Russian.

Which I think actually might sum him up quite well.

It is no secret that wealthy Russian exiles are some of the biggest donors to the Tory Party. Some of these guys have beef with Putin and Putin knows it. Hence why Britain/Boris looms large in his thoughts.
