Russian invasion of Ukraine

Just to be clear, let's try your logic.

1) Some footballers have heart attacks and collapse or die when playing.
2) Kevin de Bryune is a footballer.
3) We should never pick him because he might die and that's worse than losing a game of football.

By your logic we should just agree to anything Putin ever demands, because the alternative is always nuclear armaggedon.
Too bloody right. If he orders Armageddon than a general should shoot him between the eyes with a glock pistol because if the military comply then they will killing their own families, friends and indeed the whole world.

Are you talking about homeless folk or those lucky asylum seekers who are living it up at the ritz with there fancy pocket flat screen TV’s and a bed to sleep in? If it’s homeless then the main reason homeless folk decline the offer of accommodation is because there is almost always a condition of being dry/sober in order to qualify and a lot of them are addicts. Anyone who thinks asylum seekers based in cheap hotels are having a great time are sadly mistaken. I’ve done a couple of shifts in the hotels taking blood as part of the medical induction and almost every person I spoke with just wanted to work and have a better life.
Homeless........as per the original poster saying the money supporting Ukraine should be spent at home.

I take your point regarding staying sober etc, but being fussy about the food served baffles me a little, especially considering it's not an isolated incident.

I stopped watching Seinfeld and vowed to spend the rest of my life correcting Americanised spellings.
Personally I like the z instead of the s, except in Scrabble where I'm glad for the s because the game has four of them and only one z.

However, I am partial to the superfluous u (as in colour and favour and honour) because it looks classier.

Blame Noah Webster, not Americans!

I'll give a 35 minute talk by an elderly racist who's been dropped by every TV network a miss thanks.
Well, you shouldn’t. He argues that the international order is merely the wishes of western democracy and that an alternative view, iterated by Russia’s foreign secretary, is more powerful. This view states that, along with the doctrine of non interference, all states should be free to develop along their own lines in accordance with their culture. Furthermore, he argues that more of the world agrees with this than with the western ideas of the international order. He points out that, of the twenty nations that will attend the upcoming G20 summit, only 9 have joined in sanctions against Russia. These are the nine western states you would expect on the one hand and representatives of 80% of the worlds population on the other.
