In terms of conventional warfare, and a meaningful military escalation, they’ve seemingly got nothing left to give.I agree , however they ain't going to give up and it will go and on and most likely escalate.
How else do you deal with gangsters you cannot defeat.

If Russia were capable of escalating they would have escalated by now.
Your premise is that Putin is thinking “Ok annihilating 30 years of economic progress, losing 60,000 men and trillions of $ worth of equipment over 6 months for what was supposed to be a 3 day operation was fine, but now they’re launching a counteroffensive the gloves are off!”
