- Support for independence and ties to Russia in “separatist” regions has disintegrated

- 2022 Ukrainian military now has the arms, technology and numbers to completely destroy the Russian backed militias in those regions.

It won’t be an issue when the war ends.

Im guessing you didn't read the chain of conversation,

You're taking what was a random hypothetical a tad too seriously. the original point was about the Russian "referendums" and Russia counting that as war if Ukraine continued. I just pointed out the hypothetical that could ( not should or would ) at that point get firm / solid borders and join NATO almost instantly.
Not something that will happen. was just a hypothetical throw away point.
