Fully agree with what you are saying. Just a point of note they aren’t electricians, they are electrical engineers. Need just a bit more than your wiring regs when dealing with 132kV.There's a lot of Ukrainian heroes in this war, but reading about the continual assault on the power grid, and then the electricians getting a lot of them back up and running in quick time, in what must be extremely difficult conditions fills me with awe.
To avoid SAMs, looks about 250feet which the U.K. practice at so im assuming similar especially if on a bombing run. What in the flying fuck are they going so low? That's incredible.
Nah that's <50ft. That's stupid. To avoid SAMs, looks about 250feet which the U.K. practice at so im assuming similar especially if on a bombing run.

Well with terrain following radar they can do that, you should’ve seen the Buccaneer back in the day what an awesome aircraft, I heard of a great tale about them on Red Flag in the Nevada desert. The Brits were the enemy doing a bombing run with a Vulcan so it was low, the Americans came in from above for an easy kill, what they didn’t kniw was underneath the Vulcan were a couple of buccaneers that suddenly popped out shot the Americans down and carried on the bombing run! Apparently the yanks were in awe of the skill to do it and not to pleased at losing.Nah that's <50ft. That's stupid.
