ICC judges issue arrest warrant for Putin over war crimes in Ukraine

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant on Friday against Russian President Vladimir Putin, accusing him of being responsible for the war crime of illegal deportation of children from Ukraine.

Surely he won't be tried (albeit possibly in absentia), unless he leaves russia and is arrested, or russia's government is overthrown. It may offer some encouragement if there could be a coup from within.

Interesting that the warrant has been issued now, just as Xi is expected to visit soon

He will not be able to go anywhere in the World other than countries that are also run by despots.
