If Trump gets his hands on power, then this war in Ukraine is over and Ukraine will be overwhelmed.

The only way Ukraine has any chance is for the US to continue to support them.

Not that I have support for Trump, Putin, the Chinese **** or anybody else, however…Ukraine is not part of NATO and it’s worrying where this whole shit show is heading

Looking at what's happened so far, you'd think that a Europe-only NATO would be far too strong for Russia.

Possibly.

The US has a large stockpile of weapons/supplies (new/newish/old) whereas Europe tends to have ‘just enough’ to cover the basics of a short-term land war.

In a war of attrition then without any of the US support/stockpile the continuous Russian ‘meat grinder’ tactics would probably overwhelm European limited ongoing resources. Serious amounts of Russian casualties, but a dwindling supply of equipment in Europe would eventually tell.

On the other hand Russian incompetence, corruption, thieving, and lying within their entire military structure (from front-line top of the line units to deep long term storage) has played a major part in their unexpected abysmal performance so far.

Worst case scenario is that Trump is in the White House in a little under two years, a couple of summers away. The landscape could look very different by then, including Putin‘s grip on power.

Its yet another reason to keep the support up, though.
