That could very well be his way out.

if NATO ever did get involved, he could walk away claiming that the whole world is against them.

Obviously, people like Medvedev are already claiming that.

I'd imagine there is a lot of disinformation being spread from both sides right now. This could be BS. I note the UA army have said similar, would the rest really give them tanks and training only for them to run out of ammo? All will become clear when the ground dries out.

Wagner have probably used more ammo shooting their own,than they have Ukrainian Soldiers.
I do think the Russians are very low on ammo for tanks and artillery.
Tank strikes from Ukrainian forces in the East,are almost non existent,but armoured vehicles have gone a lot higher.

Been reported for a couple of months now that the russian army have been withholding supplies to wagner, there is an internal power struggle going on, and with more oligarchs setting up pmc I think they are getting ready for civil war.
 
When are we expecting the Ukraine push to begin and land starting to be reclaimed? Can't be too far off now.
