"FROM THE ANALYST"
FRONTLINE UPDATE
IN the north the Russians are not doing as well as they claim, with small Ukrainian gains near
Lyman Pershie.
Ukraine has managed to move further down the line of the E40 road towards Soledar.
At Bakhmut the Russians are sort of under Ukrainian fire control because they hold the heights. Ukrainian claims they’re surrounded and can’t move in the town are not accurate.
South of Klieshievka at Andrivka, there’s no question that the Russians have pulled back from the railway embankment which is bad news for them, but it’s now in the grey area.
The areas either side of Krasnohorivka are said to be ripe for a Ukrainian attack.
In the south Ukraine is advancing over the river near Schevchemko and SW of Pavlika. Ukrainian forces have been seen clearing houses in the town.
The Ukrainians have been resupplying and refitting their forces at Stariomorske but activity seems to have resumed. The Russians are loosing control of the salient between Stariomorske to Pryutne - Russians sources confirm it was too dangerous to remain.
Ukrainian recce groups are said to be as far south as Volodnye in this sector.
Ukrainian forces have a difficult time breaking the trenches between Novoprokopivka and Robotnye. This is why the south and south east assault matters so much.
However the area is smothered in OPSEC requirements and it’s best not to talk about this sector right now.
What we do know is that Russian forces of the 108th in convoy lost 200-250 troops and officers from HIMARS strike while in transit.
Russia has put its last major reserves of paratroopers in to defend the north of Novoprokopivka.
The biggest claim is that Russia has withdrawn form flanking areas to strengthen the defence of Novoprokopivka in general. They have weakened their forward flanks to take a stand.
Ukraine is pounding Verbove too and they’re making gains to widen the overall salient. The 82nd Assault brigade is said to have already entered the village.
Things are clearly moving in the right direction. Salients are expanding and the Ukrainians are making decent headway.
The biggest takeaways have to be that Russia is so desperate it’s stripping forces from low activity front lines to hold Novoprokopivka, which the Ukrainians have already started to notice is making their advance attempts much easier in what was low level contested areas.
A good day!
