For those saying no to conscription at what point would you fight? Would you wait until they crossed the channel because by then it would be to late, they'd either not attack and starve us out or just overwhelm us, but I suppose all those dicks who shout Engrrland and wear the George cross will be there defending us!

I take your point but we would be absolutely fucked if it got to the stage where the only thing stopping an invasion was the channel as NATO would have already failed to stop Russia

Exactly my point, we would have to go to Europe to hold them back, but loads saying I won’t let my kids go or I won’t go and fight over there, well I’m sorry but if you don’t put boots on the ground in Poland then those fuckers will roll through, technology only gets you so far and no doubt we would decimate a lot of the armour etc but eventually you have to have to go to war on the ground to push them back.

Why would they roll through Poland when they aren't doing in Ukraine?

I think your'e missing my point. As soon as Russia attempted to take a NATO member, then NATO Article 5 would be invoked and there would be more than enough NATO military to tackle and overcome Russia, so conscription would mean it would be a lost cause

If western aid stops they would, if Trump gets in the then NATO countries will have to step up pretty quick, I hope they are planning for that already.

I agree that NATO with their advanced weapons would hold them back to a point, but if they keep putting the meat grinder through,if they get on nato territory then someone’s got to fight them, how long for who knows.

They wouldn't, simple as that, they're short of troops, and short on equipment, they can't even keep up with replacing the kit they lose every day. There's no way they could commit to taking on another battle for years, possibly decades, they can't even get past Avdiivka, or Bahkmut, and they were pretty much at the door of both in 2014, never mind 2022.

NATO isn't going to stop providing weapons either, and anyone thinking that NATO isn't already at the Ukraine border doesn't know what they're talking about, they wouldn't get 1 KM into Poland, Finland, or the other Baltic States at the moment.
