From his furious ramblings, one thing is crystal clear: Russia fears continued US support for Ukraine. We should be categorical that secondary sanctions would be applied in the event of any trade being done, then he has a choice to make. The risk would be too big for him. Just one example would be Azure and AWS no longer being able to operate here and them having to sell the data centres at huge discount to a European competitor. He can't afford the US to lose the high tech monopoly.
