Who cares? Unless Russia is launching a nuke, it doesn’t matter because they are completely inaccurate. The ICBM/MRBM Russia launched at Dnipro had dummy warheads and a CEP of 250 metersI get it, they just don’t know how they can escalate anymore. It’s a sad feeling for them
The missiles that were fired had a CEP of 250 meters. They are inaccurate for anything that’s not a nuke. In Dnipro, it appears that they used dummy warheads; there were no large explosions, not even those of Kalibr size. What’s the point of doing this? I get threats and intimidation, but continuing it is just a waste of ICBM/MRBMs. Even if they manage to put a conventional warhead in the missile, it will miss by 250 meters or more most of the time. There is no point in using a $30 million ICBM missile.
It would be much more practical to use Kh-22 or Kinzhal. If they want to launch its ICBMs in Ukraine, they can go ahead and do it; they just miss most of the time and will be burning their limited number of ICBMs that are meant for nukes.
Sometimes even striking civilians and make Russia look even more of a terorrist country. There seems to be no point of continuing this past the initial strike that was intended as a threat. We get Russia wants to escalate and respond somehow, but this is for show
Propaganda value clearly.
An Iskander missile costs $3m a pop ICBMs $20m minimum.
